Thermoforming holds many advantages over other types of moulding in particular greater efficiencies, lower costs and extremely fast turnaround at both high and low volumes.
We have over 40 thermoforming machines within Waddington® Europe, catering for all types of production requirements. The majority of tools can also be run at all sites, giving us maximum production flexibility as well as offering customers security in their manufacture/supply contingency plans.
What Is Thermoforming?
Thermoforming is a general term that refers to the process of heating a plastic sheet over a mould and transforming it into a 3-dimensional shape by using a combination of heat, pressure and or vacuum, depending on the type of machine.
Additional Services
In addition to the standard form/cut/stack process, we also offer additional services including embossing, padding (absorbent and bubble), venting, labelling and spork application.
Packing
We cater for all customer-specific packing requirements. We can pack in extra-large boxes to reduce the amount of outer packaging for large quantities of product or we can pack in small individual boxes for ease of distribution around a retail network.
Our Super Care service offers the choice to double bag for specific customer BRC requirements. Whatever the challenge, we always have an appropriate solution available.
